Man Facing Charges for Supposedly Beheading Father and Uploading Disturbing Video

The 32-year-old man, Justin Mohn, is being arrested on first-degree murder charges for allegedly beheading his father, Michael Mohn, and sharing the graphic video on social media.

The crime happened in Levittown, Pennsylvania, where Denice, Michael’s wife, found his dead body in their home’s bathroom on Tuesday night around 7:00 p.m.

According to a police affidavit, when the police arrived, they discovered a grisly scene complete with a machete and bloody rubber gloves next to the corpse.

The police reported Justin, their son, and Denice Mohn’s white Toyota Corolla as missing. At Fort Indiantown Gap, almost a hundred miles away, Justin was taken into arrest armed.

Over the course of the disturbing 14-minute YouTube video, Justin Mohn discussed a number of contentious issues, including government, the Black Lives Matter movement, and immigration, while holding his father’s severed skull.

Due to the video’s violation of YouTube’s rules on graphic violence, the account of Mohn was deleted.

Mohn had a history of embracing violent anti-government rhetoric, evident in his online writings dating back several years.

The 32-year-old man, Justin Mohn, is being arrested on first-degree murder charges for allegedly beheading his father, Michael Mohn, and sharing the graphic video on social media.

In August 2020, he published an online “pamphlet” advocating for what he termed a “bloody revolution” and endorsed the assassination of family members and public officials.

Following the murder, Mohn accused his father of betraying his nation and characterized him as a 20-year government employee. Conspiracy theories about the Biden administration, immigration, economic policy, urban violence, and the conflict in Ukraine were all addressed in the video.

Police tracked Mohn to Fort Indiantown Gap using cellphone data, where he was taken into custody within the National Guard base. Reports suggest he had jumped a fence and was armed when apprehended.

Some of Mohn’s neighbors recalled him behaving abnormally in the past. Bart DeHaven, one of them, mentioned times when Mohn would sit close to his house and stare at it.

Another neighbor, Carrie McCarthy, was shocked to see the footage and realized Mohn was someone she saw often.

Mohn is accused of having weapons and committing first-degree murder. The court has set his hearing for February 8, 2024, and he remains detained without bail. Investigators are looking into potential reasons for the awful crime.
